In theory, all air cleaners offer the same smoke control.

It's a good theory, right up there with the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.

In reality, Honeywell commercial air cleaners are performance proven and backed by 43 years of air cleaning experience. Other air cleaning companies would have you believe their products perform the same, but in the end they can't match the smoke removing ability of a Honeywell Commercial Air Cleaner.

Smoke Haze Effectiveness

Media air cleaners are rated according to their ability to capture particles 0.3 microns in size. Why? Because they are the most difficult particles to collect. Honeywell uses a HEPA type filter that is 95% efficient at removing these particles, but these are minimum ratings. Thanks to the laws of physics, our media filters are actually more efficient on particles smaller or larger than 0.3 microns.

Particles aren't always the problem

Honeywell media air cleaners come equipped with CPZ sorbent media, which is specially formulated for maximum efficiency at reducing levels of most gases, odors, and V.O.C.'s. Our CPZ canisters are designed for long service life at high airflow rates. When combined with our 95% efficient HEPA type filter you have a winning combination.

The Total Package

The Honeywell model F111C media air cleaner is the workhorse of the industry. It combines 95% efficient HEPA type filters and CPZ odor and gas removing modules. The F111C can be installed in a two-by-four ceiling tile or fully exposed. Either way, with its efficient coanda airflow pattern and high capacity media filters, the F111C can handle the most serious smoke problems with ease.

When shopping for air cleaners or making your air quality decisions. Make sure the air cleaners you are looking at have been tested by the AFTL (Air Filter Testing Laboratories). This assures you that the air cleaner has been tested and that the claims made are accurate. Beware of manufacturers who develop their own rating systems to prove their claims.

As dirty as air particles race through the air cleaner, they first encounter high voltage (over 8,000) volts!), ionizing wires. Here, an intense voltage gradient accelerates free electrons towards the wires, which knock even more electrons out of the surrounding air molecules, creating vast numbers of positive ions. These positive ions bombard airborne particles in the air stream and become attached to the particles as "hitchhikers." As the now-charged particles pass between our tightly spaced, charged collector plates, they are irresistibly attracted to the oppositely charged plate. The whole process takes about 0.02 seconds and is at minimum 94% efficient.

Four-Position Wall Switch

Using this optional, wall-mount control you can conveniently change fan speed without reaching overhead for push-buttons on a ceiling-mounted air cleaner. Pushbuttons let you select high, medium, or low fan speed, or off. By varying the fan speed, you control the rate of air cleaning as the indoor air quality changes throughout the day.

Honeywell offers the highest degree of air filtration!

Most air cleaners recirculate the air in only one direction, thus limiting the air cleaner's effectiveness. Honeywell electronic air cleaners draw in polluted air, then distribute clean air at ceiling level in all four directions. This ensures clean air is circulated throughout the entire area and that warm ceiling air is mixed with cool floor level air to eliminate cold drafts and uncomfortable temperature extremes. This allows for lower thermostat settings that will save you money.

F90

Operating efficiently overhead, the F90 handles the air filtration needs of larger areas such as bingo and billiard halls, bowling centers, bars, and restaurants.

A three-speed fan switch lets you increase or decrease the amount of delivered air to match the level of indoor air pollutants. An optional wall switch makes changing speeds even easier.
